Los Angeles was the true embodiment of Laker-nation on Wednesday.

The Championship parade took the team on a route through the heart of the city and ended at the historic L.A. Coliseum. Fans lined the streets for miles as Kobe Bryant and company basked in the glory of their newly-earned title.

However, something was missing. And the folks at TMZ were the first to point out exactly what it was.

Owner Jerry Buss was nowhere to be found. He did not attend the parade. Instead he decided to set up camp at the Bell Gardens’ Bicycle Casino, far away from the commotion.

Apparently this is the norm for Buss. He does not enjoy being part of the scene. I guess this would explain his enjoyment of the owner role; though I am puzzled by the choice of Los Angeles.

Hopefully he isn’t trying to gamble away the NBA Finals Trophy, because Cash4Gold valued it at a measly $3,500.
